About women’s rides

What is a women’s ride?

A group ride for women only, often at a social pace with a coffee stop. Clubs run them so more women start riding, and because it’s fun to ride with other women.

Are there MTB and gravel groups for women?

Yes, more and more clubs run women’s groups for MTB and gravel. The rides here cover every kind.

How do I find a women’s cycling group?

Start with the rides here: each one shows the club or group that runs it. If there’s none near you, look at the clubs in your town or start a group yourself.

How do I train for Tjejvättern?

Ride in a group a couple of times a week and build up towards 100 km. Riding in a bunch is a big part of the race, so it’s worth practising first. More on the Tjejvättern page.

Do I need to be fast?

No. Check the ride’s pace: easy and social mean the group stays together and waits.

Does it cost anything?

No, most group rides are free and open to everyone. Sometimes the club asks for membership or a sign-up; if so it says on the ride.
