A road group ride is one of the easiest ways to get stronger and meet people who ride. Good to know before your first one.

Riding in a bunch, and pace
In a bunch you take turns at the front, and it’s easier to pedal behind the others. Every ride has a pace: easy and social stay together and wait, medium and fast are more like training. Pick a pace you can hold for the whole loop.

Evening loops, long rides and coffee rides
Weekdays often mean evening loops, weekends longer rides, often with a coffee stop. The distance, time and start are on every ride.

Bike and kit
A road bike in working order, a helmet, water and a spare tube with a pump. Dress in layers, and bring lights when it gets dark early.
