WHY RULLA EXISTS
How Rulla came about
- AROUND 2020
I started cycling
I started cycling around 2020 and soon wanted to ride with other people. But the rides lived in WhatsApp groups you needed an invite to, Facebook groups I didn’t know about and clubs I wasn’t part of.
- IN A GROUP
The hard part was organising
Once I rode with lots of people, I saw how hard it was to organise a ride well. Different group chats, different meeting points. Can I invite someone? Someone wants to bring a friend. Who is actually coming?
- THE IDEA
So I built Rulla
On Rulla anyone can post a ride and anyone can organise. You find a new ride or create your own, and new riders can join you. Route, meeting point, pace groups and who is coming, in one place.

Clubs had no app made for cycling
It soon became clear that clubs had no proper tool built for cycling. Club apps are made for team sports, and other platforms are made for logging training, not for organising a ride.

What is Rulla?
Rulla is an app for finding and organising group bike rides in Sweden. You see clubs’ rides, open group rides and races on road, gravel and MTB, with the time, meeting point and pace.
What does Rulla cost?
Nothing today. Rulla is free for riders and for clubs.
Who is behind Rulla?
Rulla was started by Simon in Gothenburg. He wanted anyone to be able to find a ride and organise their own, and clubs to get a tool built for cycling.
Do I need to be in a club?
No. Open group rides are for everyone, member or not. Each ride shows the pace it keeps.
Where is Rulla?
Clubs and races from all over Sweden, and group rides in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö. You open Rulla at app.rulla.cc, on your phone or computer.
How is Rulla different from Strava?
Strava is for the ride you’ve done. Rulla is for the ride you’re about to do: where the group meets, when, at what pace and how many are coming. Clubs can bring their Strava club to Rulla.
What does the name mean?
