What Rulla does
- Shows group rides, clubs and races on a map, filtered by discipline, pace and day.
- Lets you answer going, maybe or can’t in one tap, per pace group, on rides that take sign-ups.
- Splits a ride into pace groups, from easy to fast, so everyone finds theirs.
- Gives you the route for your bike computer as GPX, TCX or FIT.
- Has a chat in each ride, for questions and changes about that ride.
- Gives clubs a page with rides, routes, members and a board, and posts weekly rides once.
- Brings a club’s details over from Strava, so they’re filled in.
What Rulla is not
- Not a training log: Rulla doesn’t record rides or measure your training.
- Not a social feed with likes.
- Not an organiser: rides are organised by clubs and riders.
- Not linked to the organisers of the races it lists, unless it says so.
Rulla and Strava. Strava logs the ride afterwards. Rulla organises it beforehand: where the group meets, when, at what pace and who is coming. They work well together.
Questions and answers
What is Rulla?
Rulla is an app for finding and organising group bike rides in Sweden. Riders find rides and races on a map, and clubs post rides with the route, meeting point and pace groups.
What does Rulla cost?
Nothing today. Rulla is free for riders and for clubs.
Is there a Rulla app?
Rulla is a web app you open at app.rulla.cc on your phone or computer, and can add to your home screen. Apps for iPhone and Android are on the way.
Where is Rulla available?
In Sweden. Clubs and races come from across the country, and group rides have started in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö.
How do I find a group ride?
Open the map on rulla.cc or in the app and choose the discipline, pace and day. The ride shows where and when the group meets and how many are coming, and if it takes sign-ups you answer in one tap.
How do I organise a ride?
Create an account at app.rulla.cc, post the ride with the route, meeting point and pace, and share the link. You see who is coming in each pace group.
Do I need to be in a club?
No. Open group rides are for everyone, member or not. Each ride shows the pace it keeps.
How is Rulla different from Strava?
Strava logs the ride afterwards. Rulla organises it beforehand: where the group meets, when, at what pace and who is coming.
Who is behind Rulla?
Rulla was started by Simon in Gothenburg, who wanted to make it easy for someone new to find people to ride with.
