Gothenburg has coast, forest and rolling roads within an hour of the city. Groups head out in every direction: south along the coast, north over Hisingen and east towards Lerum and Alingsås.
Skatås is the hub of mountain biking in Gothenburg, with trails around the Delsjö lakes for every level, from easy loops to rooty sections. Vättlefjäll north-east of the city is technical and wild, for those who want more of a challenge.

The coast road south towards Särö and Kungsbacka is the classic: flat, fast and with the sea beside you. When the wind comes from the west, groups take Hisingen and the roads north towards Kungälv, or head inland towards Lerum and Alingsås where the hills start. Weekend club rides often leave early, so you are home for lunch.
