Stockholm has water on every side, so rides follow the islands and lakes. Groups meet in the city and head out to Mälaröarna, Lidingö and Värmdö.
Mälaröarna and Ekerö to the west are the city’s best-known road loops, with quiet roads between fields and water. The loop round Lidingö is a shorter classic for an evening, and the roads north towards Vallentuna and Norrtälje make for the longer weekend rides.

The gravel roads on Mälaröarna and in the forests north of the city can be reached by bike straight from the centre. South of the city there are more gravel loops through forest and past lakes, often without a car in sight.
