Gothenburg has coast, forest and rolling roads within an hour of the city. Groups head out in every direction: south along the coast, north over Hisingen and east towards Lerum and Alingsås.
The gravel starts almost in the centre. Around Delsjön and on east towards Härskogen, forest roads link up into long loops, and further out towards Lerum and Alingsås it is mile after mile of gravel between lakes and farms.

The coast road south towards Särö and Kungsbacka is the classic: flat, fast and with the sea beside you. When the wind comes from the west, groups take Hisingen and the roads north towards Kungälv, or head inland towards Lerum and Alingsås where the hills start. Weekend club rides often leave early, so you are home for lunch.
