What Sub 10 takes
33.2 km/h for 315 km is not the same as 33.2 km/h on an evening ride. The speed holds only in a bunch where you take turns at the front; alone into the wind round the south of the lake, the average drops fast. Plan the stops: every extra quarter hour at the depots costs about 0.9 km/h of rolling speed.
Who rides Sub 10?
Sub 10 suits riders who have done it before or train regularly. The pace is brisk but holds in a well-run bunch, and the stops need to be short.
