Trail riding in a group

Trail riding is skill, nature and a fair amount of laughing. In a group you learn faster, and there’s always someone to follow when the trail gets hard.

    What is trail riding?

    Riding on trails through the woods, from smooth gravel paths to technical singletrack with roots and rocks. Enduro is mostly about the descents.

    MTB for beginners

    Pick a ride at an easy or social pace and say you’re new. There the group waits, and you can get off and walk where it gets too technical. Choose a ride in the list above.

    Trails and the right to roam

    The right to roam applies on a bike too: show care for others, avoid wet and fragile trails, and don’t ride where it damages the ground.

  4. 04 / 04 · Protection

    Bike and protection

    A mountain bike in working order, a helmet and gloves. Knee pads help on technical rides. Bring water, food and a repair kit.

Right now most MTB rides are in Göteborg, Obbola, Boden and Finspång.

Which clubs ride mtb?

Bike and Beer - Finspång, We Love Cycling, Obbola Idrottsklubb, Happyride and Bodens Cykelklubb have MTB rides up on Rulla.

Does it cost anything?

No, most group rides are free and open to everyone. Sometimes the club asks for membership or a sign-up; if so it says on the ride.
